Kristina yes it’s because the government is doing nothing and they are the one living in a particular place, they should organize themselves and contribute each ten shilling and form groups which will be collecting garbage and where they are living their environment will be clean up.

I agree with you Martin that the environment is a big problem that is affecting ordinary wananchi and that needs to be addressed by the Government. I think that ALL of us Kenyans have a role to play- what do you see it as?

I am waiting to see what will happen with Mau and I hope that the issue does not get hijacked by politics and siasa mbaya that are very common in the country. Great blog! keep up the good work.

martin, you were a little wrong on the funds set aside for the census next week, its actually 7billion kenya shillings…and its true, Kenya is indeed in a sorry state. What we lack is visionary leadership, Kenya is ripe for a revolution..

Hi Martin,
I was looking through some of your pictures on flickr as well as reading your blogs.

What I say is quite bleak, but what can we or I do to help? Not much… is there? I’m practically half way around the world. I’ll try to raise and spread awareness here and everywhere I go as well as , but I really think that the only person who can make a difference is you and your friends.

Have you tried forming a group to talk to the government or the media in Kenya or get in contact with an NGO.

OOh. I’ve got to go for now. I’ll come back to reply later.
